PRENANA PRESENTS……………………..

The screening of movie “Naanu Gandhi” is at 12 pm in Room No.09 on the 31st of October 2009, Saturday.

A panel discussion with the members of the movie will be held on the 2nd of November 2009, Monday at 3 pm in the Room No. 09.

The best movie critic competition will be held and 3 best critics will be awarded on Monday.

SINCHANA PRODUCTION PRESENTS…

‘Sinchana’ the drama club of Prerana (the language association) is screening a play “MANTESWAMY KATHA PRASANGA”, which is a cultural epic story. The story revolves around a cultural hero named ‘Manteswamy’ who is against caste and creed prevailing in our society. This screening is part of the ongoing workshop in Room No. 11 everyday between 3and 4 pm.

DOCUMENTARY ON KABIRDAS

The documentary on Kabirdas was really good. Atleast at some point, in some parts of India,  people come together to bring Kabir’s teaching in their own life. Kabir has certainly influenced their lives. His teachings were simple, “Be united, forget about caste, religion, see how you can improve yourself and make aconnection with the Almighty”.

Today, it is exactly the opposite that is happening. The whole world runs behind money. There is great need for self analysis at this point to see where we stand. For this,  Kabir’s teachings play e very important role. Today,  only if we stand together as he wished we stand a chance to save ourselves from all the troubling issues like terrorism, recession etc. Thus we need to put higher emphasis on his teachings.

Kabir – A Documentary

The first programme of Prerana, The Language Association features a documentary on Kabir on June 06, 2009 at 12:oo pm in Room No. 09. This will be followed by a panel discussion on the same. All are welcome!
