Difference in perception or the attitude towards life can never be explained in better way than this story.
In an arid open space when the sun was unleashing his atrocities by letting loose his heat waves on every mortal under his power, the work for construction for a temple for the Lord was under progress. A saint who happened to pass that way stopped to watch the workers carrying bricks.
He asked one of the workers “Son, what are you doing?” The worker turned to the saint and yelled back “What? Has the sun’s heat made you insane? Or are you blind? Can’t you see I’m carrying bricks?”
The frightened saint repeated this question to yet another worker. He politely replied “I sir am earning a living for my family so that at least today we can have a full square meal” Then the saint asked the same question to yet another worker and this man smiled with pride and said “I sir, am doing the most noblest work on earth for I am building a temple for my Lord”
You see the work done by all the three men are the same but the attitude that they show towards it is what is so radically different. Remember it is not the work you do that defines you, it is the attitude that you show towards your work that defines you!
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

“Between the optimist and the pessimist, the difference is droll. The optimist sees a doughnut and the pessimist sees a hole.” ~Oscar Wilde
