Christ University, a premier educational institution providing quality education was established as Christ College affiliated to Bangalore University in July 1969. USG conferred autonomy to Christ College on October 7, 2004
It became the first college in South India to be reaccredited with A+ status by NACC. UGC identified Christ College as an institution with ‘Potential for Excellence’ in June 2006 and granted the status of Deemed to be University on July 22, 2008.

INSPIRE Science Internship Camp
INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Science Internship Camp is an innovative national programme implemented by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The main objective of this programme is to motivate young talented students to take up research as a personal undertaking and rub shoulders with the global icons of science. It aims at making engagement with science a lifelong catalyzing experience for the higher secondary students in the science stream.
INSPIRE Science Internship Camp @ Christ University
Christ University has the privilege of organising INSPIRE Science Internship Camp for 11 and 12 std students from 23 – 27 April 2012. This fully sponsored five-day residential science camp will be a golden opportunity for the students to personally interact with various Academy Fellows, Bhatnagar Awardees and Scientists of National and International Repute.
It includes lectures related to scientific success stories and joy of innovations across all science streams, CD shows, round table discussions, experiment sessions, creative poster competitions, science quiz and field visits.
Selected candidates for the camp will be accommodated in our campus. They will be eligible for free local hospitality, related study materials, TA (as permissible) and registration kit. A certificate of participation and a take-home experiment kit will be given to the students at the end of five-day Science Internship Camp. Interested teachers may accompany their school students, but they will be eligible only for free hospitality.
11 and 12 standard students of science stream are eligible to participate in this programme. The selection of students will be based on the top 1% performers in class 10 board examinations and pursuing science at class 11 and class 12.
