Recently, the first year students of social science were given a wonderful opportunity to create their very own newsletters. Through the current affairs class conducted by the English department we not only learnt about the anatomy of the newspaper but also learnt to apply it in our newsletters, we gained firsthand experience about reporting, it further enriched our understanding of a newspaper. In our newsletters we divided the news in accordance to the place where they took place so events in class were classified as state news, the events which occurred in the quadrangle as national news and finally the international news which consists of events around the campus. We enjoyed creating the newsletter and hope the readers enjoy reading it as well. As a part of this program we released thirty newsletters on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
