Teachers’ Day Celebrations

They Guide us,
They Support us,
They Inspire us,
They Teach us ,
Today is the day to thank them and say HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY!
Teacher’s day which is celebrated on 5th September, was celebrated week long at Christ junior College with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm.
Completely organised by students, there were various events held throughout the week, such as antakshari, bombing the city and quiz ,where teachers embraced their competitive sides.
To top it all, an assembly was held for the teachers to show our love and appreciation towards them. It started of with a beautiful renderence by the choir, after which we were enlightened about the theme for this years teachers’ day – Owls, which symbolise wisdom .
The principal’s address followed, where he thanked all the teacher’s for their dedication and hard work towards making the students who they are today. On this joyous occasion, students of Christ junior College were felicitated for their success in various fields, such as sports, Model United Nations and various intercollegiate fests. The teachers who won in the previously mentioned events were also felicitated. News letters of different departments were released by the principal and academic coordinators .
To express their gratitude towards the teachers, students prepared several performances, such as a humorous mime and a dance in the form of a flash mob.
No matter how good the students were , the teachers stole the show with their graceful and lively performance. The assembly ended with the vote of thanks in the form of a video and a standing ovation for all the teachers.
