Cancer Awareness Programme

Cancer, a dreaded disease is the second most common disease in our country that is responsible for maximum number of deaths. In Karnataka, there are nearly 50,000 cases every year and in our state, one in twelve people are prone to this disease.

To fight cancer is to detect it early and treat it. To recognize the symptoms is essential so that people can seek help. So an awareness programme about avoiding risks is essential, more so, if the awareness programmes are organized and conducted by the youth. The youth remain the most influential community who can bring about a significant change and act as a driving force.

And so, Christ Junior College, a premier Educational Institution is collaboring with Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology to spread awareness  about cancer. The second week of August, from 10-15, is declared as Cancer Awareness Week. During this week, many competitions will be conducted. On August 14 and 15, open day will witness Q&A sessions, Exhibition and talks by Medical Professionals.

So, come join us and be a part of this great cause.
