Christ Junior College in association with Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology will be conducting various competitions as part of the Cancer Awareness Programme during the second week of August. Here are the competitions:
Essay Writing Competition
an ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION on the topic CANCER CURE IN INDIA-ROLE OF YOUTH. It has 2 sections, one, a general essay and the second case analysis. Best 10 essays will be selected and best 3 will be awarded.
The competition will be conducted on 10th August 2015 at 2.30 pm in Room 09 (Seminar Hall).
Criteria for the competition are:
- Basic knowledge in medical science.
- Awareness about cancer.
- Ability to analyse the situation from its social, economic and psychological perspectives.
- Explain complex ideas and scientific terms in common English language.

Poster-Making Competition
The details of the competitions are as follows:
Topic: Cancer Awareness
Date: 12.08.2015
Time: 2:45 pm – 4:00 pm
Venue: Biology Lab 01 & Electronics Lab
Rules and Regulations:
- Individual event.
- Only chart paper will be provided.
- Poster has to depict the topic given.
- Paint, charcoal, crayons may be used to make the poster.

Quiz
A Quiz Competition related to Cancer will be conducted on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
Preliminary round (written) will be conducted on the same topic from 11:50 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, August 08, 2015 in Biology Lab.
A team comprising of three students should register their names with Mr. Siluvai Adimai, Department of Chemistry, Room No. 310, 3rd Floor .
